London Nightrider 2017

Written by: N. Stokes

On Saturday 10th of June a group of 13 people representing ARA & friends (10 ARA & 3 friends), took part in the annual London Nightrider 100km charity bicycle ride. The intrepid group were:

Pete Ogilvie (organiser), John Durham, Pete Sarad, Harry Smith, Shaun Harris, George Brown, Matt Bainbridge, Dave Pugh, Ralph Ward, Ian Burns, Andrew Betts, Les Brink and Pete Williamson.

Six of the riders were riding in support of MIND and the remaining seven were riding for St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire.

The total raised was £4,170. Twelve of the team successfully completed the course, with one unfortunately falling foul of a London Taxi, but after a few stitches is reportedly fine now.

The team would like to thank ARA and the ARA Sports & Social Club for the financial help towards the entry costs and all of the families and friends for the support and sponsorship.
