Our in-depth aerodynamic knowledge enables us to apply state-of-the-art software to leading-edge research topics, in order to deliver improved understanding and enhanced levels of technology readiness. Much of this work is collaborative, primarily under EU Framework Programme 7, involving close working with academia, research establishments and industry.
The team is currently involved in several research areas, including:
- Natural laminar flow and hybrid laminar flow control
- Separation control
- Novel aircraft concepts for reduced emissions and noise
- Open rotor configurations
