134th Supersonic Tunnels Association Meeting
ARA was proud to recently host the 134th Supersonic Tunnels Association, International (STAI) meeting. This coincided with celebrations for ARA’s 70th year of operation. The STAI enables the sharing of information concerning facility operation, instrumentation, and test techniques within the tunnel operator community. The meeting enabled sound personal relationships to be developed which are a valuable foundation for technical communication, and the meeting offered the opportunity to meet and interact personally with our peers worldwide. Over the course of 2.5 days, 27 delegates from 14 countries and 22 organisations shared and discussed 23 presentations. The programme also included a detailed tour of the ARA site, including tunnel plant equipment and test facilities. ARA enjoys its position as one of the leading Aerodynamic test facilities in the world and is keen to support wider interaction with the testing community.
