Strain Gauge Balance Design and Manufacture

ARA has a long history of design, manufacture, gauging and calibration of strain gauge balances for use not only in the ARA tunnels but also for outside agencies.

Balance development is linked with the Innovation and Technology Group to continuously improve balance performance and provide more accurate wind tunnel data in a shorter timescale and reduced cost.
